HIGHLIGHTS: In his first start of the season Portland’s Anthony Ranaudo threw 4 innings, allowing 4 runs, 4 hits, 2 home runs, 3 walks and 2 strikeouts … Shortstop Derrik Gibson stole 2 bases, giving him 4 in his last three games. He was 1 for 4 with 2 runs scored, extending his hit streak to eight games … Juan Carlos Linares went 1 for 3 with 2 walks and has hit safely in 24 of 32 games … Bryce Brentz went 2 for 5 in the DH slot. He is batting .441 over his last ten games … With seven wins in the month of May the Sea Dogs have equaled their win total from the entire month of April.

HIGHLIGHTS: Starter Brandon Duckworth worked 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits for his fifth win of the season … Reliever Garrett Mock pitched two scoreless innings and over his last 6 appearances he has thrown 8 2/3 scoreless, compiling a 1-0 mark with 2 saves, 4 hits, 4 walks, 6 strikeouts … Jose Iglesias went 3 for 5 with 2 runs and 2 RBIs and hit the second home run of his professional career … DH Josh Kroeger went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, a home run, 3 RBIs and 2 runs … Mark Melancon pitched a perfect ninth inning and still has yet to yield a run or a walk in 11 relief appearances for the PawSox … In his first minor league apperance since 2008, Durham DH Hideki Matsui went 0 for 4 and struck out once. The 37-year-old former Yankees, A’s and Angels outfielder is looking to catch on with Tampa Bay signing as a free agent at the end of April.

HIGHLIGHTS: The PawSox almost let a 4-0 lead slip away, allowing 3 runs in the bottom of the seventh inning before an out was even recorded. PawSox reliever Garrett Mock struck out three straight batters to stem the tide  … Junichi Tazawa worked a scoreless ninth for his first professional save … Both of Tony Thomas’ home runs were solo shots that came with two outs … PawSox reliever Andrew Miller rebounded from a horrific appearance on Sunday (1/3 IP, 4 ER, 3 BB, 1 H). He worked a perfect eighth inning, striking out Bryce Harper, Mark Teahan and Jhonatan Solano on 15 pitches … Prior to the game the PawSox placed shortstop Pedro Ciriaco on the 7-day disabled list with an oblique strain.  Jonathan Hee was called up from Portland to take his place on the roster.

HIGHLIGHTS: Trailing 5-2 in the top of the ninth and down to their last out, the Rock Cats got a three-run homer from Chris Colabello to send the game to extra innings where they put up a 5 spot in the eleventh for their fifth straight win … Portland first baseman Reynaldo Rodriguez went 1 for 2 with 2 RBI, 2 runs, a stolen base and his first home run of the season … Colabello is 9 for 19 with 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and 7 runs in his last five games … New Britain pitching allowed only two walks, bringing the staff’s season total to a league low 24 over 109 innings … Sea Dogs DH Jeremy Hazelbaker went 2 for 5, doubling his hit total for the season and picking up his first RBI of the year in the process.

HIGHTLIGHTS: New Hampshire notched their first home win of the season. The Fisher Cats scored first in the game for only the fourth time all season … New Hampshire starter Ryan Tepera went five innings, allowing only one run on 4 hits and 4 walks for his first AA victory … Fisher Cats DH Koby Clemens went 2 for 2, stole 2 bases, was caught stealing and was picked off … The New Hampshire bullpen combined for 3 1/3 scoreless innings to hold on to the victory. Ronald Uviedo notched his 3rd save of the season. In two prior stints with the Fisher Cats he had a total of 2 saves.
