HIGHLIGHTS: A Mauro Gomez 2-RBI double in the bottom of the eighth gave the PawSox a come-from-behind victory. They took three of four games from Rochester and have won five of their last six games. Pawtucket holds a 1 ½ game lead over Buffalo for first place in the I.L. North … Mark Melancon came on to face one batter and struck out Pedro Florimon to end the game, picking up his third save … Nate Spears went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles, 2 runs and a RBI. It was his second three-hit game of the season … Lars Anderson went 0 for 4 and is 2 for 16 with 3 runs and no RBIs in his last four games.

Ryan Goins went 2 for 5 to up his average to .320, tenth best … Koby Clemens went 1 for4 with his first double of the season … John Tolisano went 1 for 4, extending his hit streak to six games.

HIGHLIGHTS: Reading’s Darin Ruf went 2 for 4 with a double, grand slam and 6 RBIs. He raised his batting average to.393 and OPS to 1.030, both E.L. bests. Reading extended their lead to a game and a half over the Rock Cats in the Eastern Division … For the second straight game Wilkin Ramirez had 3 hits and a home run … Catcher Chris Herrmann broke a 2 for 30 slump with a 3 for 5 night that included his team-best ninth double.

HIGHLIGHTS: The Thunder jumped on Portland for five runs in the first two innings and never looked back. Trenton has won five straight over the Sea Dogs and are 6-1 in the season series … Jeremy Hazelbaker’s double was the only extra-base hit for Portland … The Sea Dogs team ERA jumped to a league-worst 4.71.

He is now batting .341, fourth best in the Eastern League … New Hampshire’s Mike McDade went 3 for 4, raising his batting average to .318, good enough for ninth in the E.L.

He has yet to allow a run or a walk in nine appearances (9 2/3 innings) and has struck out 17 batters … Daniel Nava went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 RBIs, raising his batting average to .316, 12th best in the International League. As recently as April 27th his average was .228 … Jose Iglesias went 2 for 5 with a run scored and 2 strikeouts. It is the sixth two-hit game in his last seven … Mauro Gomez snapped an 0 for 13 streak with a 2-RBI single in the bottom of the first.

Reliever Caleb Thielbar struck out 3 and allowed only 1 hit over the final two innings. Since being called up from Ft. Myers he has made 4 appearances and has not allowed a run in 6 2/3 innings … Wilkin Ramirez went 3 for 5 with a double and his first home run as a Rock Cat. Of 8 games with New Britain, four have been multi-hit … Joe Benson went 1 for 5 and is 1 for 9 in the two games played with New Britain since being demoted from AAA Rochester.

HIGHLIGHTS: Starter Yohan Pino went 8 innings allowing only 1 earned run on 5 hits and a walk to go with 5 strikeouts. Reliever Ronald Uviedo worked a perfect ninth, striking out two of three batters he faced … John Tolisano stole his fifth base of the season and was caught stealing for the second time. As a team the Fisher Cats have 35 stolen bases, second most in the Eastern League … Ryan Goins, Mike McDade, Mark Sobolewski and A.J. Jimenez all had 2 hits on the night, with Sobolewski getting the only extra-base (double) for New Hampshire … The Fisher Cats won on May 1st for the third straight season. Last year they were 23-8 in the month of May.
