His hit streak was halted at nine games, but his on-base streak extended to ten games with a walk … With the win the Sea Dogs move to 3-6 on the season against the BMets.

Ochinko was promoted to replace A.J. Jimenez who looks to be headed for Tommy John surgery after tearing the ulnar collateral ligament in his throwing arm. Jimenez, considered to be a top defensive talent behind the dish, was ranked as the Blue Jays No. 12 prospect by Baseball America coming into the season … Trenton evened up the season series at 6 wins apiece.

Two unlikely errors from Jose Iglesias in the bottom of the eighth inning opened the door for the Bulls to put up 4 runs and come back from a 5-2 deficit … Iglesias went 4 for 6 on the day, his first four-hit game of the season … Che-Hsuan Lin stole 2 bases, giving him 5 on 6 attempts this year … The PawSox still maintain a one-game lead over the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs who have won five straight games.

HIGHLIGHTS: New Hampshire starter Deck McGuire pitched a strong six innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits and 2 walks. He earned his first win since April 18th … Brad Thompson worked a scoreless inning of relief with 2 strikeouts for the Rock Cats. It was his first appearance of the year after some extended spring training following Tommy John surgery in 2011 … New Britain center fielder Joe Benson finally lashed out a bit at the plate, going 2 for 3 with an RBI and a walk. He came into the game having gone 2 for 24 in his previous six games with the Rock Cats … Ryan Goins went 1 for 2 with a double, RBI and walk. He extended his hitting streak to seven games and his .336 batting average is fifth best in the Eastern League … New Hampshire’s John Tolisano went 1 for 5 with an RBI and Brian Van Kirk went 2 for 4. Both players extended their hit streaks to five games.

HIGHLIGHTS: In his third rehab start with the PawSox, Daisuke Matsuzaka allowed 7 hits (2 home runs) and 4 earned runs over 6 2/3 innings. He threw 95 pitches – the most thus far in five rehab starts overall – and did not allow a walk … Pedro Ciriaco, Jose Iglesias and Scott Podsednik each had a single and Ryan Lavarnway had a double for the only PawSox hits on the night. Iglesias stole his sixth base of the season on seven attempts and Podsednik swiped his first with Pawtucket and seventh of the season … It was only the second time this season that the PawSox have been shutout. The first coming back on April 9th, a 1-0 loss to Lehigh Valley … Kevin Youkilis, who is on a rehab assignments with Pawtucket, had a scheduled off day. He is expected to get some time at third base this weekend.

He extended his hitting streak to nine games and his stolen base streak to four games … Sea Dogs batters struck out 7 times, bringing their league-leading total to 298 … Portland is the only team in the Eastern League without a shutout. They also have the highest team ERA (4.66), have given up the most hits (366) and have the second highest team WHIP (1.45) … Ryan Dent went 1 for 3 with a run scored and has collected a single in each of his last four games.

It was his first start with New Hampshire this season. Carreno was slated to start the season with the Fisher Cats before he became a last second call-up to the Blue Jays.

He is now batting .341, fourth best in the Eastern League … New Hampshire’s Mike McDade went 3 for 4, raising his batting average to .318, good enough for ninth in the E.L.

Myers he has made 4 appearances and has not allowed a run in 6 2/3 innings … Wilkin Ramirez went 3 for 5 with a double and his first home run as a Rock Cat. Of 8 games with New Britain, four have been multi-hit … Joe Benson went 1 for 5 and is 1 for 9 in the two games played with New Britain since being demoted from AAA Rochester.
