Jacobson threw four scoreless innings and allowed only two hits and a walk … Rock Cats first baseman Chris Colabello hit a two-run homer. In his last ten games he has five hits, three of which are long balls … New Britain’s Aaron Hicks went 2 for 4 with an RBI, run and walk … Sea Dogs shortstop Derrik Gibson went 1 for 3 with a walk. In the four game series he went 7 for 13 with an RBI and a run … Portland’s Brock Huntzinger pitched three perfect innings with two strikeouts, his best relief appearance of the year.

HIGHLIGHTS: A Mauro Gomez 2-RBI double in the bottom of the eighth gave the PawSox a come-from-behind victory. They took three of four games from Rochester and have won five of their last six games. Pawtucket holds a 1 ½ game lead over Buffalo for first place in the I.L. North … Mark Melancon came on to face one batter and struck out Pedro Florimon to end the game, picking up his third save … Nate Spears went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles, 2 runs and a RBI. It was his second three-hit game of the season … Lars Anderson went 0 for 4 and is 2 for 16 with 3 runs and no RBIs in his last four games.

Ryan Goins went 2 for 5 to up his average to .320, tenth best … Koby Clemens went 1 for4 with his first double of the season … John Tolisano went 1 for 4, extending his hit streak to six games.

HIGHLIGHTS: Reading’s Darin Ruf went 2 for 4 with a double, grand slam and 6 RBIs. He raised his batting average to.393 and OPS to 1.030, both E.L. bests. Reading extended their lead to a game and a half over the Rock Cats in the Eastern Division … For the second straight game Wilkin Ramirez had 3 hits and a home run … Catcher Chris Herrmann broke a 2 for 30 slump with a 3 for 5 night that included his team-best ninth double.

HIGHLIGHTS: The Thunder jumped on Portland for five runs in the first two innings and never looked back. Trenton has won five straight over the Sea Dogs and are 6-1 in the season series … Jeremy Hazelbaker’s double was the only extra-base hit for Portland … The Sea Dogs team ERA jumped to a league-worst 4.71.

His .356 batting average is third best in the Eastern League … Brock Huntzinger – who struggled through four starts this season – made his second relief appearance, tossing two scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts … Every Sea Dogs’ batter got at least one hit on the night with Kolbrin Vitek, Reynaldo Rodriguez and Oscar Tejada picking up two apiece … Tejada stole his second base of the year and Jeremy Hazelbaker was caught stealing for the third time this season. As a team Portland is 15 for 23 on stolen base attempts for a 65% success rate.
