HIGHLIGHTS: A three-run first backed by a solid outing from Allen Webster helped the PawSox improve to 4-2. Webster struck out three and allowed three hits and two walks in six scoreless innings of work. He threw 83 pitches and forced 10 ground ball outs for his first win of the year…Ryan Lavarnway broke a season-long 0-for-16 streak with a fifth inning home run, a solo shot…Lavarnway’s dinger came on the heels of Justin Henry’s seventh career long ball, a two-run shot. Henry went 2-for-4 with a double, home run, three RBIs and two runs scored…Christian Vazquez threw out Steven Souza trying to streal second base in the first inning. Vazquez has already thrown out three runners and picked off one at first in just five games played.

HIGHLIGHTS: The Thunder piled on early, scoring seven runs in the first three innings, handing the SeaDogs their third straight loss. Starter Mike McCarthy allowed seven runs on 11 hits in four innings to get nailed with the L…He is human! For the first time this season Mookie Betts did not get a hit! He did walk twice, however…Meanwhile, Blake Swihart hit safely for the fourth time in his four games played in a SeaDogs uni. He went 2-for-4, for his third multi-hit game…Yankees top prospect, catcher Gary Sanchez, went 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs to lead the Thunder.

HIGHLIGHTS: As easy as it seemed the Salem Red Sox 16th straight win would come, it just as quickly almost all slipped away. Up 12-5 after six innings, the Dash stormed back to within a run before Salem closed the door, tying the Carolina League record for consecutive wins by a franchise…Aneury Tavarez led the way on offense, going 3-for-4 with a walk, double, home run, 4 RBIs, 3 runs scored and a stolen base. Prior to Tuesday’s game, Tavarez was 1-for-11….Starter Brian Johnson got a little beat up in his 4 2/3 innings, allowing 8 hits and 5 runs. He did strike out 8 batters, trying a career high set last year while with Greenville.

HIGHLIGHTS: The RiverDogs were not gracious hosts, slamming three home runs and riding a six-run fifth to defeat the Drive. Greenville used 13 positional players but could only muster 3 hits in the game…Reliever Jonathan Aro, the only bright spot on the night for the Drive, worked a perfect eighth inning, striking out two. He has five strikeouts in his two innings of work this season.

HIGHLIGHTS: The Rock Cats dropped their third straight and allowed Harrisburg their first tase of victory this season. The Senators scored three times in the first inning to get all the runs they would need. Sean Gilmartin, making his first start of the year, served up 9 hits and a walk which led to 5 runs, 4 of which were earned…Brad Boyer and Mike Kvasnicka went 2-for-4 for New Britain, who had 7 total hits on the night. Boyer stole a base and scored a run as well.

HIGHLIGHTS: Just like the Rock Cats, the Fisher Cats dropped their third straight following a 2-0 start to the season. New Hampshire saw a two run lead slip away late, and tied things back up in the top of the ninth before the Fightin’ Phils lived up to their name, scoring twice in the ninth…Leadoff man Kenny Wilson hit his first home run of the season, a three-run job in the third inning…Jon Berti stole three bases on the night, giving him a league best four swipes on the season.
